The Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 20 IAS officers and assigning new responsibilities across key departments and district administrations. The latest changes include appointments at the Secretary and Special Secretary levels, fresh postings in the Revenue, Medical Education, Labour, Geology & Mining, Culture and State Tax departments, as well as new Chief Development Officers (CDOs) in Azamgarh, Ballia and Etawah.

The reshuffle is aimed at strengthening governance, improving administrative efficiency and ensuring better coordination across departments.
Key Changes at the Secretary Level

- Among the prominent appointments, Sudha Verma has been shifted from the Revenue Department and appointed as the Labour Commissioner.
- Dr. Sarika Mohan, who was serving as Director General and Secretary, Medical Education, has been appointed Inspector General of Registration.
- In another important change, Neha Sharma, who was serving as Inspector General of Registration, has been posted as Director General and Secretary, Medical Education, taking over from Dr. Sarika Mohan.
Fresh Responsibilities in Rural Development and Mining

- The government has appointed Arun Kumar, who was serving as Additional Director General, Geology & Mining, as the Mission Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Livelihood Mission.
- J. Reebha has been given the additional charge of Additional Director, Geology & Mining, while continuing as Special Secretary in the department.
- Meanwhile, Deepa Ranjan has been transferred from the post of Mission Director, State Livelihood Mission, and posted as Special Secretary, Culture Department.
Changes in the Culture Department
The reshuffle has also brought changes to the Culture Department.

- Sanjay Kumar has been relieved of his responsibilities as Special Secretary, Culture, and has been assigned the additional charge of Director, Culture.
- At the same time, Vishal Singh will continue as Special Secretary, Culture, but has been relieved of the additional responsibility of Director, Culture.
Power and State Tax Department
- Sandeep Bhagia, who was serving as Additional Commissioner, State Tax, has been appointed Managing Director of Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (MVVNL).
District-Level Administrative Changes
The government has also made several changes at the district level.
Azamgarh
- Parikshit Khatana, Chief Development Officer (CDO), Azamgarh, has been transferred as Additional Commissioner, State Tax, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
- Replacing him, Rakesh Kumar Patel, who was serving as Additional Commissioner, Lucknow Division, has been appointed Chief Development Officer, Azamgarh.

Ballia
- Ojaswi Raj, CDO, Ballia, has been posted as Municipal Commissioner, Mathura-Vrindavan.
- Alok Kumar, who was serving as Additional District Magistrate, has been appointed Chief Development Officer, Ballia.
Etawah
- Ajay Kumar Gautam, Chief Development Officer, Etawah, has been transferred as Additional Commissioner, State Tax, Ghaziabad-I.
- Sanjay Kumar Singh, previously serving as Additional District Magistrate (Administration), has been appointed Chief Development Officer, Etawah.

Other Important Appointments
The government has also assigned new responsibilities to other officers.
- Manikandan A, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Additional Land Management Commissioner in the Revenue Council.
- Dr. Vandana Verma, Joint Managing Director of the State Sugar Corporation, has been entrusted with the additional charge of the Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation, while continuing in her present role.
