The Railway Board has approved the deputation of Shri Vijender Singh, IRSE, to IRCON International Limited as Executive Director (Civil) at the company’s Corporate Office in New Delhi.
According to a Railway Board order dated August 10, 2026, Singh will serve on deputation for a period of three years from the date of relief, August 11, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
Senior IRSE Officer from Northern Railway
Vijender Singh is an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE). Before moving to IRCON, he served as Chief Engineer/Construction at Northern Railway.

He was born on March 1, 1970, and joined government service on January 27, 1998.
New Role at IRCON
As Executive Director (Civil), Singh will be posted at IRCON’s Corporate Office in New Delhi. His appointment brings his railway engineering and construction experience to the public sector infrastructure company.
The deputation is part of the established framework through which experienced railway officers are assigned to public sector organisations for specialised infrastructure and project responsibilities.
Deputation Governed by Railway Board Conditions
The Railway Board order states that Singh’s deputation will be governed by the prescribed terms and conditions.

These include provisions relating to pay and allowances, travel, medical facilities, leave, retirement benefits and other service-related matters.
The appointment places an experienced IRSE officer in a senior civil engineering role at IRCON, supporting the organisation’s infrastructure and project-related functions.
