Alok Katiyar Gets Additional Charge of Director (Works) at NHSRCL

The Railway Board has entrusted Shri Alok Katiyar, currently serving as Director (Electrical & Systems), National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), with the additional charge of Director (Works), NHSRCL.

The arrangement will take effect from the date Katiyar assumes charge on or after September 1, 2026, following the superannuation of the present incumbent, Shri Pramod Sharma.

Pramod Sharma to Retire on August 31

The post of Director (Works), NHSRCL, will fall vacant from September 1, 2026, as Shri Pramod Sharma, born on August 2, 1966, is due to retire from service.

To ensure continuity in the functioning of the organisation, the Ministry of Railways has assigned the additional responsibility to Alok Katiyar.


Katiyar to Hold Charge Until Regular Appointment

Alok Katiyar will continue to serve as Director (Electrical & Systems) while also looking after the responsibilities of Director (Works).

The additional charge will remain with him until a regular incumbent is appointed or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

NHSRCL has also been directed to inform the Railway Board about the actual date on which Katiyar assumes the additional charge.

Order Issued by Railway Board

The order assigning the additional responsibility was issued by the Ministry of Railways on August 10, 2026.

The temporary arrangement is intended to maintain continuity in the works-related functions of NHSRCL while the process for appointing a regular Director (Works) is completed.
