The Karnataka government has carried out a fresh administrative reshuffle, transferring seven Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and assigning them new responsibilities across the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Finance, Tourism, Skill Development and Rural Development departments.

The latest reshuffle is aimed at strengthening administrative coordination, with key appointments made in the Chief Minister’s Office and additional responsibilities assigned to senior officers in important departments.
Nakul S S and Yatish R Move to Chief Minister’s Office
Among the key changes, Nakul S S (IAS:2010) has been appointed Secretary to the Chief Minister. He was previously serving as Secretary (Expenditure) in the Finance Department.

The government has also posted Yatish R (IAS:2021) as Deputy Secretary-1 to the Chief Minister. Earlier serving as Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Bengaluru Urban District, he will continue to hold the additional charge of CEO alongside his new assignment in the CMO.
Finance Department Gets New Responsibilities

Following Nakul S S’s transfer, Abhiram G. Sankar (IAS:2011) has been entrusted with the concurrent charge of Additional Secretary (Expenditure) as well as Secretary (Expenditure) in the Finance Department.
He will continue to serve as Managing Director, Karnataka Mining Environment Restoration Corporation (KMERC) while handling the additional responsibilities.
Tourism Department Sees Key Administrative Changes
The reshuffle also brings changes to the Tourism Department.
Dr Ram Prasath Manohar V (IAS:2010), currently Managing Director, Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL), has been given the concurrent charge of Secretary, Tourism Department.
Similarly, Shivaprasad PR (IAS:2013), who serves as Managing Director, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC), has been assigned the additional responsibility of Commissioner of Tourism.
Skill Development Sector Strengthened
The government has entrusted Patil Yalagouda Shivanagouda (IAS:2012) with two additional assignments. Along with his present role as Executive Director, Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust, he will now serve as:
- Managing Director, Karnataka Skill Development Corporation.
- Managing Director, Karnataka Vocational Training and Skill Development Corporation.
The move is expected to strengthen the state’s skill development and vocational training initiatives.
Fresh Posting for Shaikh Tanveer Asif
Shaikh Tanveer Asif (IAS:2017), who was awaiting a posting, has now been appointed Director, Abdul Nazir Sab State Institute of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (ANSSIRD), Mysuru.
