Sanjay Kumar Appointed Additional Secretary in Bihar Governor’s Secretariat

Patna: In a significant administrative appointment, senior IAS officer Sanjay Kumar has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Governor’s Secretariat, Bihar Lok Bhavan, Patna. The appointment is expected to strengthen administrative coordination and governance within the Raj Bhavan.


Prior to his new assignment, Sanjay Kumar was serving as Additional Secretary in the Rural Works Department, Government of Bihar, where he was associated with the implementation and monitoring of key infrastructure and rural development initiatives across the state.

New Responsibility in Raj Bhavan

With his latest posting, Sanjay Kumar will be responsible for assisting in the functioning of the Governor’s Secretariat and supporting administrative, policy, and coordination-related matters at Bihar Raj Bhavan. Officials said his extensive experience in government administration will contribute to the efficient management of the Secretariat’s responsibilities.


Experienced Bureaucrat

Sanjay Kumar is a senior IAS officer with considerable experience across various departments of the Bihar government. Over the years, he has handled multiple administrative assignments and has been involved in policy implementation, departmental coordination, and governance-related initiatives.


Administrative Significance

The appointment comes as part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to place experienced officers in key positions to enhance administrative efficiency. His transition from the Rural Works Department to the Governor’s Secretariat is expected to bring valuable administrative expertise to the institution.
