In a sweeping late-night administrative overhaul, the Rajasthan government on Friday transferred 48 IAS officers, marking one of the most extensive bureaucratic restructurings in recent months. The move follows the appointment of new Chief Secretary V. Srinivas and is being viewed as a significant strategic realignment after the exit of former CS Sudhansh Pant on central deputation.

A major highlight of the reshuffle is the elevation of Akhil Arora as the new Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) to the Chief Minister, replacing Shikhar Agarwal, who now heads Industries. Arora has also been entrusted with Health and Ground Water, consolidating his position as a central decision-maker in the current administrative setup.

Shikhar Agarwal, formerly ACS to the CM, will now lead Industries and MSME, while also serving as Chairman of RIICO and RAJSICO—reflecting the state’s renewed push for industrial expansion and MSME competitiveness.

Revenue, WCD, Tourism Among Departments Reorganised

  • Rajesh Kumar Yadav takes charge as Secretary, Revenue and Colonisation, signaling reforms in revenue governance.
  • Bhawani Singh Detha shifts to ACS, Women and Child Development, overseeing key welfare programs.
  • Rajesh Yadav moves from Tourism & Culture to DG, HCM RIPA, marking a major positional shift.

  • Manju Rajpal now oversees Cooperative, Agriculture & Horticulture, and Seed Corporation—giving her expanded influence across key departments.
  • Ravi Jain continues with LSG and now also holds DLB Commissioner and JCTCL Chairman posts.
  • Dr. Jogaram becomes Secretary, Revenue & Panchayati Raj, with additional charge as Commissioner, Panchayati Raj.

Divisional Commissioner-Level Appointments

  • Nalini Kathotia is the new Divisional Commissioner, Bharatpur.
  • Anil Agarwal takes over as Divisional Commissioner, Kota.

Postings in Energy, IT and Renewable Sectors

  • Rohit Gupta becomes MD, Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited.
  • Dr. Ravi Surpur moves to Secretary, IT, and Chairman, Rajcomp Info Services Ltd.

Four APO Officers Assigned New Roles

  • Archana Singh – Secretary, Personnel
  • Himanshu Gupta – Secretary, IT & MD, Rajcomp
  • Harphool Yadav – Commissioner, Kota Development Authority
