In a significant administrative reshuffle ahead of the upcoming elections, the Bihar government has transferred seven IAS officers and reassigned key positions across the state. The General Administration Department issued an official notification on Friday outlining the new appointments.
Chandrashekhar Singh Appointed Secretary to CM Secretariat
2010 batch IAS officer Chandrashekhar Singh, who earlier served as Patna Divisional Commissioner, has been appointed Secretary to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. He will also hold additional charges as Secretary, Disaster Management Department, and Chairman, Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation. Singh has further been reassigned as the District Magistrate of Patna, replacing Kapil Ashok—marking his return to a familiar role in the state capital.
Animesh Parashar Takes Over as Patna Divisional Commissioner
2010 batch IAS officer Animesh Parashar, who served as Municipal Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation, has been appointed as Divisional Commissioner of Patna. He will also take additional charge as Managing Director of BUIDCO (Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation).
Other Key Transfers and Appointments
Aditya Prakash, 2014 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Secretary, Health Department. Yashpal Meena, also 2014 batch, who earlier held the health portfolio, will now serve as Municipal Commissioner of Patna.
2011 batch IAS officer Kapil Ashok, former DM of Patna and current MD of Bihar State Road Development Corporation, has been given additional charge as MD of CONFED. Himanshu Sharma, 2011 batch IAS and CEO of Jeevika, has been assigned additional charge as Special Secretary in the Health Department.
Among 2023 batch officers, Kritika Mishra, SDM of Pakadiyal (East Champaran), has been posted as SDM of Gogri in Khagaria district, while Pradyumna Singh Yadav, current SDM of Gogri, has been appointed Additional Municipal Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation.
