In a move aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and enhancing governance delivery, the Madhya Pradesh government has ordered a major reshuffle involving the transfer of 18 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The late-night overhaul on Monday comes shortly after the transfer of 14 officers, marking a clear signal of strategic reorganisation by the state administration.
Key Promotions and Strategic Postings
- Vishesh Garhpale (2008 batch) has been appointed Secretary, Energy Department, underlining the state’s focus on power sector reforms and efficiency.
- Vandana Vaidya (2009 batch), earlier associated with tribal welfare and employment training, has been named Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Finance Corporation, Indore. Her previous roles will be reassigned.
District Panchayat CEOs: Wide-Scale Reshuffle
- Gajendra Singh Nagesh (2016 batch) shifted from Singrauli to Narsinghpur as CEO, District Panchayat.
- Dalip Kumar, earlier CEO, Narsinghpur, takes over as Commissioner, Dewas Municipal Corporation.
- Tapasya Parihar (2018 batch), CEO, Chhatarpur District Panchayat, has been appointed Commissioner, Katni Municipal Corporation.
Urban Development and Smart City Changes
- Divyank Singh (2017 batch), CEO, Indore Smart City, is now Additional Commissioner, Urban Administration and Development Department, Bhopal.
- Arth Jain (2021 batch) takes charge as CEO, Indore Smart City and Additional Commissioner, Indore Municipal Corporation.
- Anju Arun Kumar, CEO, Bhopal Smart City, has been given additional charge as Additional Commissioner, Bhopal Municipal Corporation.
