Dr. Sudam Khade Takes Charge as Divisional Commissioner of Indore

In a significant administrative development, 2006-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Dr. Sudam Khade officially assumed charge as the Divisional Commissioner of Indore on Thursday. Known for his extensive administrative experience and academic contributions, Dr. Khade’s appointment is expected to add momentum to Madhya Pradesh’s governance and development agenda in one of the state’s most dynamic divisions.

Over the years, Dr. Khade has held several important positions across Madhya Pradesh, shaping policy implementation and governance delivery at both district and state levels. Before taking charge in Indore, he served as the Commissioner of Public Relations and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Madhyam, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening the state’s communication outreach and public engagement initiatives.

His administrative journey also includes serving as the Divisional Commissioner of Gwalior and as Collector of key districts such as Bhopal, Sehore, Tikamgarh, and Harda. In each of these assignments, he was recognised for his emphasis on citizen-centric governance, efficient service delivery, and strengthening institutional mechanisms at the grassroots level.

Beyond his administrative duties, Dr. Khade also held the position of Vice Chancellor at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication in Bhopal. This unique experience reflects his ability to combine governance with academia, showcasing expertise in public communication, knowledge dissemination, and institution-building—skills that will further enhance his approach as Divisional Commissioner.
