Key IPS transferred in Chhattisgarh and Punjab, Check List

In a significant move to enhance law enforcement and streamline administration, the governments of Chhattisgarh and Punjab have issued transfer and posting orders for several Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, marking crucial changes in key districts and senior positions.


Chhattisgarh IPS Transfers

The Chhattisgarh government transferred four IPS officers in its latest reshuffle to bolster police administration across the state:

  • Rajesh Agrawal (IPS: 2012: CG), former SP of Kabirdham, has been assigned as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) at Police Headquarters (PHQ) in Nawa Raipur.
  • Dharmendra Singh Chawai (IPS: 2012: CG), Commandant of the 15th Battalion, Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF), Bijapur, will now serve as the SP of Kabirdham.
  • Mayank Gurjar (IPS: 2020: CG), previously Additional SP in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, has been transferred to Additional SP, Bijapur.
  • Puja Kumar (IPS: 2020: CG), earlier Additional SP, Bijapur, will now take up the role of Additional SP, Dantewada.

Punjab IPS Reshuffle


Similarly, the Punjab government transferred five IPS officers, introducing pivotal changes in police leadership:

  • Gaurav Toora (IPS: 2014) has been appointed as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Kapurthala, replacing the outgoing officer.
  • Harcharan Singh Bhullar (IPS: 2014) will serve as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Ropar Range.
  • Harjeet Singh will take over as the DIG of Bathinda Range.
  • Jagdale Nilambari Vijay has been assigned the role of DIG, Technical Services, Punjab, alongside her responsibilities as DIG of the Community Affairs Division.
  • Vatsala Gupta has been posted as the Commandant of the 27th Battalion, Punjab Armed Police (PAP), Jalandhar.
