
In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Telangana state government, led by A Revanth Reddy, has transferred and posted six IAS officers under the orders of Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari. These changes will impact several key positions within the state’s administration.
Amrapali Kata, a 2010 batch IAS officer and former Joint Commissioner of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), has been appointed as the new Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). She will relinquish her additional role as Managing Director of Musi River Development Corporation Ltd. (MRDCL), which has now been assigned to M. Dana Kishore, IAS (1996), who will continue to serve as Principal Secretary in the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA & UD) department.
Sarfaraz Ahmad, a 2009 batch IAS officer and the current Metropolitan Commissioner of HMDA, will take on the additional role of Managing Director of Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL), relieving Amrapali Kata of her duties in this position.

In further changes, Kota Sreevatsa, IAS (2017), has been transferred from his role as Additional Commissioner of GHMC to Joint Commissioner of HMDA, a position previously held by Amrapali Kata. Chahat Bajpai, IAS (2019), has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of Karimnagar Municipal Corporation, and Mayank Mittal, IAS (2020), has been transferred from his position as Additional Collector (Local Bodies) of Narayanpet to Executive Director of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB).
