Five Telangana cadre IPS officers from the 1994 batch have been promoted to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP). The promotion follows their empanelment for this prestigious rank. Notably, Abhilasha Bisht’s inclusion in the panel was subject to confirmation from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T) regarding her allocation to the Telangana Cadre.
The promoted officers and their postings are as follows:
- Kothakota Srinivas Reddy continues as Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, in the rank of DGP.
- B Shivdhar Reddy remains as Director General of Police, Intelligence, Telangana, Hyderabad.
- Abhilasha Bisht retains her position as Director, RBVRR, Telangana State Police Academy, Hyderabad, while also continuing to be in charge of DGP (Training), Telangana.
- Dr Soumya Mishra continues as Director General of Prisons & Correctional Services, Telangana, Hyderabad.
- Shikha Goel remains the Director General of Police, CID, Telangana, Hyderabad, with additional responsibilities as the in-charge Director of TG Cyber Security Bureau, TG FSL, and Women’s Safety initiatives like SHE Teams and Bharosa.
