In a significant administrative development, the Karnataka government has ordered the immediate transfer of 10 IAS officers, bringing about key changes in various departments and districts. The reshuffling was announced through a notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) on Friday.

Smt. Pallavi Akurathi, IAS, who was serving as the Additional Director at the Fiscal Policy Institute in Bengaluru, has been appointed as the Additional Mission Director of Sakala Mission in Bengaluru, replacing Smt. Janaki KM, IAS. Meanwhile, Smt. Janaki KM has been transferred and posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Bagalkot District, replacing IAS Sri Pommala Sunil Kumar, who has also been transferred to a new position.

In another notable move, Dr. Venkatesh M.V., IAS, who held the position of Commissioner for the Watershed Development Department in Bengaluru, has been transferred and will now assume the role of Commissioner of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services in Bengaluru.

Sri. Ravindra P.N., IAS, who previously served as the Special Commissioner (Projects) at Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Chikkaballapur District, succeeding IAS Sri. Nagaraja N.M. Furthermore, IAS Smt. VidyaKumari K has been relieved from her concurrent charge, while Sri Srinivas K, IAS, is set to take charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Tumkur District.

Another significant transfer involves Sri Mullai Muhilan M P, IAS, who currently holds the position of Executive Director at the Center for Smart Governance in Bengaluru. He has been assigned as the Deputy Commissioner in the Dakshina Kannada district in Mangalore, replacing IAS Sri Ravi Kumar M R.

Additionally, Sri Yogesh A.M., IAS, the Director of the Department of Agriculture Marketing in Bengaluru, has been immediately transferred to the role of Commissioner for Transport and Road Safety in Bengaluru, replacing Sri S.N. Siddaramappa, IPS.
Dr. Kumara, IAS, who serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat in Dakshina Kannada, has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Mandya district, replacing IAS Dr. Gopal Krishna H.N.

Lastly, Sri Prabhu G. IAS, the current CEO of Zilla Panchayat in Chikkamagaluru, has been transferred to the position of Commissioner at the Karnataka Disaster Management Authority in Bengaluru. This move takes effect immediately and will continue until further orders, while Sri. Manoj Rajan, IFS, will be relieved of his concurrent charge.
The government’s decision to reshuffle these key IAS officers aims to optimize administrative efficiency and bring fresh perspectives to the respective departments and districts.
