8 IPS transferred in UP, Ashish Srivastava made DCP Lucknow

The Uttar Pradesh government has executed a major reshuffle in the Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre, reassigning several key officers to strategic positions across the state.

Aditya Mishra (1989 batch) has been appointed as the new Director General of Fire Services, while Dr. K. Ejilearassane (2004 batch) takes charge as Inspector General (IG) of UP-112, overseeing emergency services in the state.

Other notable transfers include:

  • Manoj Sonkar as IG PAC Varanasi, a crucial role in the law enforcement framework.
  • Shagun Gautam as SP PTC Sitapur, responsible for regional policing.
  • Rajesh Singh as Additional Commissioner of Police (CP), Kashi, strengthening Varanasi’s administration.
  • Devranjan Verma as DIG Rule Manual, overseeing police guidelines and regulations.
  • Aparna Gupta as SP HQ, managing key headquarters responsibilities.
  • Ashish Srivastava as DCP Lucknow, a vital role in the state capital’s law enforcement.
  • Suraj Rai as Commander, Meerut PAC (6th), leading the Provincial Armed Constabulary.
