Kumar Saurabh Raj takes charge as Deputy Secretary in Ministry of Civil Aviation

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has appointed Kumar Saurabh Raj (IAS) as Deputy Secretary. His nomination was authorised by the Central Government on Wednesday. Saurabh Raj has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier, per an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).


Mr. Raj is a member of the Punjab cadre of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), class of 2011. He currently serves as the State Government of Punjab’s Commissioner-Municipal Corporation. “He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Ministry of Civil Aviation,” the order further read.
