The Government of Himachal Pradesh issued orders to appoint senior IAS officer Ram Subhag Singh as Chief Secretary of the state. The 1987-Batch IAS officer is presently serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Industry and Transport.

Following the new appointment, Singh will replace Anil Khachi, an IAS officer of 1986-Batch, who has been appointed as the State Election Commissioner.
