Sukhbir Singh Sandhu becomes Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand

The Government of Uttarakhand, on Monday, July 5, posted Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, a senior IAS officer of 1988-Batch, as the new Chief Secretary of the state. With this, Sandhu succeeds Om Prakash (IAS 1988-Batch) who is the outgoing CS of the state.


Prior to this appointment, Sandhu was posted as Chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. However, following the latest order, he was relieved on Monday to join his state cadre as CS.

Another order issued for the transfer of Om Prakash appointed him as Chief Resident Commissioner, Uttarakhand at New Delhi.
