Shatrughna Singh appointed as Principal Advisor to CM, Uttarakhand

A senior IAS officer of 1983-Batch Shatrughna Singh, on May 19, assumed the charge of Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Tirath Singh Rawat. A day prior, Singh resigned from the post of Uttarakhand Chief Information Commissioner.


As the Additional Chief Secretary of the State Radha Raturi issued posting orders for Singh yesterday, he immediately assumed charge.

As reported by a national daily, Singh said, “My resignation has been accepted by the Governor with immediate effect and I have been relieved of my duties.” Singh handed over the charge of his office to State Information Commissioner J P Mamgai. Singh had also served as the Uttarakhand Chief Secretary in the past.
