Shri Ashok Gehlot, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan


At midnight on July 2, Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot announced a major reshuffle in the bureaucracy. Amidst the major rejig, 103 IAS officers have been transferred including Rajeeva Swarup, who has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of the State of Rajasthan.

Mukesh Sharma has been appointed as Chairman, Indira Gandhi Nahar Board. Sharma is currently serving as Chairman, Board of Revenue, Rajasthan, Ajmer.

Ravi Shankar Srivastava, the present Commissioner, Departmental Enquiries, Rajasthan, Jaipur has been given the charge of Chairman, Rajasthan Civil Services Appellate Tribunal, Jaipur.


Giri Raj Singh has been appointed as Commissioner, Rajasthan Tax Board. Singh is serving as Chairman, Rajasthan Civil Services Appellate Tribunal, Jaipur in his present tenure.

Dr Madhukar Gupta has been transferred as Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Resident Commissioner, New Delhi.

Dr Subodh Agrawal has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary, Mines and Petroleum Department, Rajasthan, Jaipur.

Rohit Kumar Singh has been given the charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Home Guards, Jail & Rajasthan State Investigation Bureau and Ex-Officio Chief Vigilance Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Transport Department, Rajasthan, Jaipur

Dr R Venkateshwaran has been posted as Chairman, Board of Revenue, Rajasthan, Ajmer.
