Raj Karan Nayyar, 2012-Batch IPS officer has been appointed as the Superintendant of Police, Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Police.

The West Bengal cadre officer is presently on the inter cadre deputation in Uttar Pradesh.
Although Nayyar was originally allotted the West Bengal cadre, he was transferred to the Uttar Pradesh cadre by the Central Government in the year 2017 on the ground of his marriage to IPS Sujata Singh, 2012-Batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre.
Hailing from Faridabad, Haryana, Nayyar has pursued Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Biotechnology and Master of Engineering (ME) in Nanotechnology.
