IRS Officer K Balaji Majumdar has recently been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Science & Technology Y S Chowdary. He is a 1995 batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, who has been posted for a tenure of five years or on co-terminus basis.
Majumdar had served in the Customs and Central Excise Departments under the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) in various capacities. Moreover, he got Presidential Award in 2014 for special distinguished record of service as Additional Director, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Zonal Unit, Chennai.
