Madhya Pradesh with the adoption of e-Governance project will soon see its government services getting delivered to the common public through Internet, computers etc. This e-Governance project will provide one service centre to every six villages.

Information on the subject of government schemes, knowledge centres, communication and other facilities would be exchanged from these centres all the way through electronic medium. All essential daily services related to citizens of every section in rural areas- including agriculture, competition forms, news, education, weather, public complaint, information and other services would be available in these centres through computer on very affordable rates. The services of government department would be conveyed to common public through computer.

After completion of these schemes; about 1 lakh information centres, including about nine thousands two hundreds centres in Madhya Pradesh would be opened in rural areas. Madhya Pradesh state electronics Development Corporation has been deployed as nodal agency for proper implementation of information centres schemes in the state.

Private institutions would be involved through tenders in every division of corporation. For example Reliance Company would establish 1765 centres in Jabalpur division, 2136 centers by CMC computers in Gwalior and Bhopal divisions, 2158 centres by NITC in Indore and Ujjain divisions, 257 centres by infoteck in Hoshangabad and 2916 centres by AISECT Company in Rewa and Chambal divisions correspondingly.
