e-Governance is must in all sectors: National Mission Mode Project

The Government of India is planning to launch the INR 800-crore National Mission Mode Project for civic bodies across the country. The project will be implemented in 423 urban local bodies over a period of five years in a phased manner.

The Government of India is planning to launch the INR 800-crore National Mission Mode Project for civic bodies across the country. The project will be implemented in 423 urban local bodies over a period of five years in a phased manner.

In the first phase, the Uttar Pradesh Government is planing to cover 35 municipalities, which will include all major cities in the state. e-governance in municipalities will include facilities like payment of utility bills, issuance of death/birth certificates, grievances and redressal, and waste management services. The successful implementation of the project will increase the efficiency of the ULBs and provide single window services to the citizens.
