The Latvian local authorities has successfully completed a project to create a common electronic format for various e-Services.

'Development and implementation of eGovernment applications for local authorities' was launched in September 2006. The project includes the development and introduction of two central applications, the Common eServices Infrastructure for Local Authorities (PVEPI) and a Document Management System (DVS). DVS provides registration, processing and control of documents, as well as preparation and distribution of meeting reports, enabling local representatives to consult them via the Internet. The system allows electronic approval and signature of documents, as well as distribution to other local authorities and state institutions.
