Prime Minister Narendra Modi


Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on 4th March, laid the foundation stone of multiple developmental projects related to power, rail, and road sectors worth more than Rs 560 billion in Adilabad, Telangana.

Among the significant endeavors unveiled, the Prime Minister inaugurated a 380 MW solar project spearheaded by NHPC Limited, serving as the implementing agency for renewable energy initiatives at Village Nimba & Magre ki Dhani, Jaisalmer District, Rajasthan. Additionally, he marked the commencement of the 1,200 MW Jalaun ultra mega renewable energy power park, a collaborative effort between Bundelkhand Saur Urja Limited (a joint venture of NHPC and UPNEDA), further enriching the renewable energy landscape in Adilabad.

In a testament to the nation’s commitment to sustainable energy, four power stations operated by SJVN Limited were also dedicated to the nation. These include the 60 MW Naitwar Mori hydropower station in Uttarakhand the 75 MW Parasan solar power station, 75 MW Gurhah solar power station, and 50 MW Gujrai solar power station in Uttar Pradesh.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stones for SJVN’s upcoming ventures, including the 382 MW Sunni Dam hydroelectric project, the 15 MW Nangal floating solar power project in Himachal Pradesh, and a 70 MW solar project in Assam. An additional project valued at approximately Rs 35 billion also received the Prime Minister’s endorsement, promising further strides in the nation’s renewable energy endeavors.
