Union Cabinet of India approved proposal for creation of NSDI By Elets News Network 13-June-2006


Union Minister for Science and Technology and Ocean Development, India, Shri Kapil Sibal unveiled the proposal for creation of National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) as considered and approved by the Union Cabinet.

 

NSDI is a kind of soft infrastructure to be built at the national level for coordination, acquisition, processing, storage, distribution and improved utilisation of spatial (geographic location) data. Geographical information
