The Delhi cabinet has approved the draft Delhi Geospatial Data Infrastructure Bill, 2011 – a flagship project of the city government launched to frame and implement policies for issues relating to geospatial data. The Bill will serve as the base for planning and executing various development projects and utility services.

The West Bengal (India) Government is planning to set up common services centres (CSCs) in each of the 4,562 panchayats in the state by Mach 31, 2008. These CSCs will allow villagers to avail services like registration of certificates, filing commercial taxes among others.
