The Government of Delhi along with the Survey of India and the National Mapping Agency has recently launcehd the Delhi State Spatial Infrastructure (DSSDI) project.th November, 2007, by .

An outcome of a pilot project of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, the DSSDI project will help the state government to provide better disaster management and security covers of valuable infrastructure.

The project has two major components. Land Information System (LIS), that will have up to date cadastral information and the Urban Spatial Information System (USIS) , which will meet spatial data and information requirements of urban planning for routine functions of the line departments in the state.

Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) Geo Spatial Delhi, will also be launched by the Government of Delhi and the Survey of India, that will be authorised to keep the records of land holdings ownership and land use.
