The summit called for givign priority to the framework for the successful implementation of the National e-governance project.
Addressing the Summit on the Vision 2020 for e-Governed India, K. Subramanian, IT Adviser to CAG of India and DDG (NIC), Ministry of Communication and IT, said that there are certain pre-challenges in implementing the project such as access of information access to public and creating awareness among the people. These need to be overcome to if we want to reap full benefits of the e-Governance project.
Director, e-Governance Program Management Unit, DIT, Ashish Sanyal suggested that the most important challenge is the implementation, which would play a vital role in the success.
It was also urged that the government should focus on educating the ministers and bureaucrats for early implementation and proper penetration.
