MCD Gets the ‘Best e-Governed Project’ Award

The property tax website of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has been awarded 'Best e- Governed Project,' at the Computers Society of India-Nihilent e- Governance Awards 2007-08.
This website of MCD offers the convenience of payment of property tax online. For this the civic body had launched the website www. McdpropertytaxIn in April 2007.
The webite facilitates self-assessment of property tax by property owners, on-line calculation and payment of tax through credit card. Till now 5,20,742 property owners have made the payment of tax by using this website and an amount of INR 213.39 crore has been collected.
