Madhya Pradesh (India) has won the best e-Governance award for setting up a cyber treasury that allows taxpayers to deposit payment from any place in the state. The state has won the best e-Governance award at the 10th national conference on 'e-Governance' held in Bhopal, India.

 

The IT department of the Central Government has given the Golden Icon award to MP for e-Governance. The state's finance deaprtment has received the award for its excellent work on information and technology services in its treasuries. Under the central e-Governance plan, the central government has sanctioned 27 missions to provide services and facilities to the people with the cooperation of the state government and local bodies. Bihar has won the silver and the Bronze Icon award for its e-Khazana and Himachal Pradesh for its administrative institution. The Municipal Corporation of Maharashtra, Kalyan-Dombivili has received the Golden award for providing outstanding public services, while the IT department of Rajasthan has received Bronze icon award in the field of outstanding public services.
