TCS signs 7-year deal with Sommerfield to provide IT services By Elets News Network 30-November-2006


Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a seven year agreement to provide a full range of managed IT services to Somerfield, a leading UK-based small-format food retailer.

According to this agreement, TCS will provide a fully managed IT infrastructure and applications service to Somerfield. TCS will take over the entire IT operations, asset management and planning for Somerfield. TCS will manage as 3rd party hardware, software and service contracts with an estimated value of $100 million. The Somerfield engagement demonstrates TCS' commitment to UK's business and economy and highlights the important key role in helping UK enterprise.  TCS will continue to enhance its commitment for the UK knowledge workforce.
