The Haryana government is creating a database of all the residents in the state. The database is being created under the Unique Identification (UID) project of the central government which is in its initial stages of implementation in the state.
Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Department announced a new initiative, wherein, beneficiaries of various pension schemes in Haryana will now get their pension amount through electronic banking using smart card. The move is aimed at making policy implementation transparent and also to check corruption.
