9 IAS transferred in Jharkhand, Rahul Kumar Sinha made Director Mines

In a move aimed at strengthening governance across key departments, the Jharkhand government has issued transfer and posting orders for nine IAS officers.


Suman Cathrine Kispotta, a 2010-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Personnel, Administrative Reforms, and Rajbhasha Department after being on the waiting list. Rahul Kumar Sinha (IAS: 2011) will take charge as Director of Mines with an additional role as Managing Director of Jharkhand State Mineral Development Corporation Limited (JSMDC).

Shashi Prakash (IAS: 2011) has been reassigned as Special Secretary in the Revenue, Registration, and Land Reforms Department, while Mrityunjay Kumar Baranwal (IAS: 2013) will lead as the CEO of the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) and MGNREGA Commissioner.

Shashi Ranjan (IAS: 2013), formerly with the Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JADA), will now serve as State Project Director of the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) and oversee the Mid-Day Meal Scheme and the Jharkhand Council of Educational Research and Training (JCERT).

Other key transfers include Kiran Kumar Pasi (IAS: 2013) as Director of Social Welfare, Aditya Ranjan (IAS: 2015) as Director of Animal Husbandry, and Garima Singh (IAS: 2016) as Joint Secretary in the Planning & Development Department. Prerna Dixit (IAS: 2017) has been appointed Managing Director of JADA.
