With the upcoming Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha elections, the state government has initiated a bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring several IAS officers. IAS Manjunath Bhajantri has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Ranchi. Utkarsh Gupta, a 2017-batch IAS officer who previously served as the Director of Information Technology, will now serve as the DC of Latehar. The Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms, and Official Language has released an official notification detailing the reshuffle.
