Gujarat Partners with Intel for AI Readiness

In a significant move to boost innovation and investment in the digital economy, the Gujarat Government signed a partnership agreement with US-based Intel Corporation on Tuesday. The agreement, inked at Gandhinagar in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, aims to make Gujarat a hub for artificial intelligence (AI) readiness.


The collaboration between Gujarat’s Department of Science and Technology and Intel Corporation is set to accelerate the state’s vision for technological advancement and economic growth. “This partnership with Intel Corporation will accelerate the vision of making Gujarat a hub for innovation and investment in the digital economy,” stated the government.

The initiative focuses on making emerging technologies accessible to students, professionals, and citizens, empowering them with the necessary skills and tools to thrive in an AI-driven world. Mona Khandhar, Principal Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, highlighted the importance of this initiative in promoting a skilled workforce and technological advancement in the state.


The implementation of the initiative will involve multiple partners and stakeholders, including regional science centres, academic institutions, and government bodies, reinforcing Gujarat’s commitment to fostering technological innovation.
