Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Nokia

Nokia has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) to advance research in transportation and logistics, leveraging AI and 5G/6G technologies. The collaboration focuses on utilising Nokia’s Network as Code platform, developer portal, and digital twins.

The MoU signing took place at Rail Bhawan, New Delhi, in the presence of Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics & IT, and Chancellor of GSV. This partnership aims to drive innovation across air, land, and sea transportation through smart automation, AI labs, and optical network planning. Nokia’s executives, Raghav Sahgal and Nishant Batra, emphasised the potential of this collaboration to revolutionise India’s logistics and transportation sectors.

Prof. Manoj Choudhary, Vice-Chancellor of GSV, highlighted the university’s commitment to industry-driven and innovation-led growth. This partnership adds to Nokia’s recent initiatives, including the 6G Lab at its Global R&D centre in Bengaluru.
