Woman is an embodiment of the Mother Divine and in India, we Worship Devi as the Shakti (Energy/Main Force) behind all manifested and the unmanifested universe. We also believe if you keep the Sree- श्री (Women) of your household happy, you see manifold manifestations of her happiness in a Happy Family, Offspring, Wealth, and many other attributes. It is said that a Woman makes a ‘House’ Home.
Hence, aligning with the UN Theme of this year, ‘Invest in Women, Accelerate Growth’ – I feel we live in a fantastic time where woman is accepted, as she is, ensuring you treat Women at the house/office well could long term ramifications in terms of overall wellbeing for a group, family, society, and nation. In the early years, children who have educated mothers benefit by developing better cognitive skills and getting a head start in life. We also see many women leaders who have broken the stereotype of being at the pinnacle of success in the media, tech, health care, education, or any other vertical. In India also, we have various campaigns by dear PM Modi to uplift and invest in the growth and well-being of women like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (Educate Girl Child), Bhamashah Yojana- where women is seen as Heads of family, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (Financial Benefit to a Girl Child), Ujjwala 2.0 – New Gas connections for Rural Women.
So, from this year onwards, let’s ensure we are committed to the cause of Investing our Time & Energy in uplifting Women around us, whether they appear in an avatar of a Mother, Wife, Sister, Friend, or Colleague, to ensure we lay solid foundations for our future generations.
