In a recent development, the state government of Bihar has announced the promotion of eight IAS officers to the Joint Secretary level, further strengthening the administrative framework. Notable among the newly promoted officers are Sub-Divisional Officers from key districts, including Patna Sadar and Patna City.

According to the official order, the following officers have been elevated to the Joint Secretary level:

Shrestha Anupam – Sub-Divisional Officer, Motihari Sadar
Abhishek Palasia – Sub-Divisional Officer, Bihar Sharif, Nalanda District
Dr. Anupama Singh – Sub-Divisional Officer, Western Champaran (Bagha)
Chandrima Attri – Sub-Divisional Officer, Darbhanga
Kumar Nishant Vivek – Sub-Divisional Officer, Sonpur
Shrikant Kundlik Khandekar – Sub-Divisional Officer, Patna (Sadar)
Gunjan Singh – Sub-Divisional Officer, Patna City

This recent promotion follows a similar elevation for eight IAS officers from the 2015 batch, who were promoted to the Junior Administrative Grade (Additional Secretary level). Among them were Mr. Manish Kumar Meena, DC, Sitamarhi; J. Priyadarshini, DC, Sheikhpura; and Tushar Singla, DC, Kishanganj.
