
In the 39th meeting of the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCPRB), Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar said that the state would reconcile the actual ground reality of the forest area, agriculture area and green area with satellite imagery and revenue records. The NCRPB meeting was held digitally and was chaired by the Union Minister of State (IC) for Housing and Urban Affairs, and Chairman of NCRPB, Hardeep Singh Puri, on October 5. Members from the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan also attended the meeting.
The meeting saw intensive discussions on various issues related to the NCR area, Sub-Regional Plans, National Conservation Zone of Haryana. In addition, a detailed discussion was held on the issues of water conservation in NCR like polluted water levels in Yamuna river and High Rate of Accidents, etc.

While lauding the efforts by CM Manohar Lal-led Haryana government, Puri said, “The work done by Haryana Government is very inspirational as it shows the dedication being of both the Chief Minister and his Administrative officers. I would like to request the other states to follow suit.”

Meanwhile, thanking the union minister for recognizing the work done by Haryana, CM Khattar assured active participation of the State government in the drafting of the Regional Plan-2041.

Haryana Chief Secretary, Vijai Vardhan; Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Rajesh Khullar; Additional Chief Secretary, Forests and Wildlife Department, Alok Nigam; Additional Chief Secretary, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Devender Singh; Additional Chief Secretary, Housing Department, T C Gupta; Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, S N Roy; Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Health & Family Welfare Department, Rajeev Arora, Additional Principal Secretary to the CM, V Umashankar, Principal Secretary, Transport Department, Anurag Rastogi, Director, Town and Country Planning Department, K Makarand Pandurang and other senior officers were also present at the meeting.
