Subash Chand Sharma, 1996-batch IAS officer has been posted as Commissioner, Jhansi Division, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier, Sharma was serving as the Divisional Commissioner – Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He has also served as the Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Medical, Health & Family Welfare Department.

On the other hand, in a recent CBI raid with the mining scam, two IAS officers, Ajay Kumar Singh and Pawan Kumar, have been removed from their posts. Both the officers have been put on the waiting list on Wednesday. Singh was Secretary, Khadi and Gramodyog Department whereas Kumar was posted as Special Secretary, Housing and Urban Development.
