The Tiruchi Corporation has made significant improvements to its e-Governance system towards making the local body more people friendly. An updated website, extension of online tax collection system for collection of underground drainage charges and facility to pay taxes through credit cards are among the major value additions to the system.
Residents can now pay their underground drainage service charges too under the online tax collection system through the computerised service centres of the Corporation or at over 20 select bank branches where the system is operational. Similarly, professional tax can also be paid through the system. The online payment system was available only for payment of property tax and water charges todate.
