The Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a fresh administrative reshuffle involving five IAS and six PCS officers, changing assignments across district administration, urban local bodies and the state government.
The late-night orders bring changes in the District Magistrate postings of Bahraich and Jalaun, besides shifting officers to new responsibilities in Jhansi, Barabanki and other departments.
Rajesh Kumar Pandey Moves to Bahraich
Rajesh Kumar Pandey (IAS, 2012 batch), who was serving as District Magistrate, Jalaun, has been appointed the new District Magistrate of Bahraich.
His transfer brings a change in the leadership of Bahraich district administration, while his Jalaun charge has been assigned to another officer.
Sameer Appointed Jalaun DM
Sameer (IAS, 2015 batch), who was serving as Special Secretary, IT & Electronics Department and Managing Director, UPDESCO, has been moved to a field posting as District Magistrate, Jalaun.
He replaces Rajesh Kumar Pandey in the district.
Akanksha Rana Moves to IT Department
Akanksha Rana (IAS, 2017 batch) has been transferred from her post as Municipal Commissioner, Jhansi Municipal Corporation.
She has been appointed Special Secretary, IT & Electronics Department and Managing Director, UPDESCO.
The move shifts her from urban administration to a state-level role focused on IT and technology-related responsibilities.
B. Suthan Gets Jhansi Municipal Corporation
B. Suthan (IAS, 2020 batch), who was serving as Chief Development Officer, Barabanki, has been appointed Municipal Commissioner, Jhansi Municipal Corporation.
He will take over the municipal administration following Akanksha Rana’s transfer.
Pankaj Verma Posted as Barabanki CDO
Pankaj Verma (promoted IAS, 2022 batch), who was serving as Secretary, Moradabad Development Authority, has been appointed Chief Development Officer, Barabanki.
His new posting completes the administrative changes arising from the movement of B. Suthan to Jhansi.
PCS Officers Also Transferred
The reshuffle also includes six PCS officers.
Rajesh Kumar Singh, SDM Badaun, has been appointed Additional District Magistrate (Civil Supplies), Kanpur Nagar.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, ADM Gonda, has been posted as Deputy Director (Administration), Youth Welfare and Prantiya Rakshak Dal.
Pramod Jha, City Magistrate, Jhansi, has been appointed ADM Gonda.
Following his transfer, Yogeshwar Singh, SDM Kushinagar, has been posted as the new City Magistrate, Jhansi.
The latest orders change the responsibilities of a total of 11 IAS and PCS officers across the state.

Reshuffle Follows Earlier Changes
The latest transfers come shortly after another round of administrative changes in Uttar Pradesh. On Wednesday night, Aparajita Arya was appointed SDM, Malihabad, while Manoj Singh was moved from the SDM assignment to ACS-5.
The latest reshuffle further changes the field and state-level responsibilities of officers, including the movement of Akanksha Rana from municipal administration to a Special Secretary-level position in the state government.
