Dr Jitendra Kumar Soni, a 2010-batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre, has been appointed as Secretary to the Chief Minister, Rajasthan. In addition, he has been entrusted with the charge of Secretary, Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department, Jaipur.

Earlier, Dr Soni served as District Collector and District Magistrate, Jaipur, where he played a key role in overseeing administrative functions in the state capital. His tenure involved coordination of development programmes, law and order management, and implementation of various government schemes.

Dr Soni is known for his administrative acumen and experience in handling complex governance responsibilities. His appointment to the Chief Minister’s Office places him at the core of policy coordination and decision-making. With the additional I&PR portfolio, he is also expected to play a significant role in managing government communication and public outreach strategies.
