Shrikar Pardeshi appointed Secretary to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis

Shrikar Pardeshi, a 2001-batch IAS officer from Maharashtra cadre, has been appointed as the secretary to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The appointment order came just two days after Fadnavis assumed office as Maharashtra’s Chief Minister. Pardeshi previously served as Fadnavis’s secretary during his tenure as Deputy Chief Minister in the Mahayuti alliance, fostering a strong working rapport.

Pardeshi is widely recognised for his bold and uncompromising approach as an IAS officer, particularly in tackling illegal constructions in Pimpri-Chinchwad a decade ago. During his tenure at PCMC, his administration demolished nearly 500 illegal structures, including properties linked to influential politicians from various parties. His relentless efforts earned him the moniker “Demolition Man.”
