In a fresh administrative reshuffle, the Maharashtra government has transferred 11 IAS officers, bringing new leadership to key departments and institutions across the state.
Among the notable changes, Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal has been appointed as Member Secretary of the Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research in Pune. He was previously serving as Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Farming Corporation.
In another key posting, Shweta Singhal has been assigned the role of Special Resident Commissioner at Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi, a position crucial for coordinating between the state and central government.
Ruchesh Jaivanshi will now take over as Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Farming Corporation in Pune, while Kanhuraj Bagate has been posted as Joint Managing Director of MAHADISCOM in Kalyan, strengthening leadership in the state’s power distribution sector.
At the same time, Laxman Raut has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board in Mumbai, a role focused on promoting rural industries and livelihoods.
In the planning and administrative space, Geetanjali Baviskar has been moved as Joint Secretary in the Planning Department at Mantralaya. Meanwhile, Dilip Jagdale, who was serving as Joint Managing Director of MAHADISCOM, has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Water Supply and Sanitation Department.
Further, Pankaj Deore has been given charge as Secretary of the Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, a key role in safeguarding child welfare and rights in the state.
The reshuffle reflects the government’s ongoing effort to strengthen governance by placing experienced officers in roles where they can drive efficiency and improve service delivery. For citizens, such changes often bring renewed focus and momentum in the functioning of departments.
