Odisha Reshuffles 7 IAS Officers; Sanjay Kumar Biswal Gets I&PR Charge

The Odisha government has reshuffled seven IAS officers, assigning them new responsibilities across key departments. The orders were issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department on August 25, 2026.

Birendra Korkora Shifted to Home Department

Birendra Korkora (IAS-SCS:2014), who was serving as Director, Secondary Education, has been transferred and appointed Additional Secretary, Home Department.

Aradhana Das (IAS-SCS:2014), Additional Secretary, Home Department, has been moved as Additional Secretary, Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department.


Changes in Education and AYUSH

Jugaleswari Dash (IAS-SCS:2015), Director, OBC, has been appointed Director, Secondary Education.

Archana Das Pattnaik (IAS-SCS:2015), Additional Secretary, Excise Department, has been transferred as Director, AYUSH.

Her place in the Excise Department will be taken by Anjana Panda (IAS-SCS:2015), who was serving as Director, AYUSH. She has been appointed Additional Secretary, Excise Department.

Sanjay Kumar Biswal Gets I&PR Responsibility

Sanjay Kumar Biswal (IAS-NSCS:2015), Additional Secretary, Commerce & Transport Department, has been transferred and posted as Director, Information and Public Relations, Bhubaneswar.

The move places Biswal in charge of an important department responsible for the state government’s information and public communication functions.

Sundara Madhaba Padhi Gets Maritime Board Role

Sundara Madhaba Padhi (IAS-NSCS:2020), Deputy Secretary, Works Department, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, Odisha Maritime Board.

He will also continue to hold the additional charge of General Manager, Odisha State Road Transport Corporation.
