Uttarakhand: 25 IAS transferred, Anand Vardhan appointed Chief Resident Commissioner and Chairman of UPCL and PTCUL

In a significant administrative overhaul, the Uttarakhand government has officially released orders transferring several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, marking one of the most anticipated bureaucratic reshuffles in recent months. The approved changes redefine key leadership roles across various departments, aiming to improve administrative efficiency and policy execution in the state.

As per the official notification, 1992-batch IAS officer Anand Vardhan, who was serving as Chief Secretary, has now been appointed as the Chief Resident Commissioner in Delhi and Chairman of both Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL) and Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Ltd (PTCUL).
