In a major administrative reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government has transferred and posted 13 IPS officers across the state. The order, issued recently, includes key changes in the Avadi Police Commissionerate, Greater Chennai Police, and Tamil Nadu Special Police Battalions.

Among the significant appointments, 2009 batch IPS officer P. Balaji has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Redhills, Avadi Police Commissionerate. He replaces Dr. K. S. Bala Krisshnan, who has been transferred as SP/Assistant IG, Welfare, Office of the DGP/HoPF.

Key IPS Transfers and Postings

• S. Brinda, 2019 batch IPS officer, previously DCP, North Salem City, has been moved to SP/Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police, Regimental Centre, Avadi.
• D. Ashok Kumar, SP-I, Cyber Crimes Division, Chennai, is now SP/Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police VII Battalion, Pochampalli.
• S. Ayyasamy, earlier serving as SP/Commandant, Regimental Centre, Avadi, is appointed SP/Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police XIII Battalion, Chennai.
• Dr. Deepa Sathyan, previously SP/Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police XIII Battalion, Chennai, has been posted as DCP, South, Tiruppur City.

Changes in Greater Chennai Police

• G. Subulakshmi, DCP, Koyambedu, has been reassigned as DCP, Administration, Greater Chennai Police.
• K. Adhiveerapandiyan, formerly DCP (Administration), Greater Chennai Police, has taken over as DCP, Koyambedu, Greater Chennai Police.

• C. Sangu, SP/Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police VII Battalion, is now DCP, Traffic, Avadi.
• I. Shahnaz, Assistant SP, Orathanadu Sub-Division, Thanjavur, has been promoted to SP-I, Cyber Crimes Division, Chennai.
• R. Uthayakumar, Assistant SP, Sriperumbudur Sub-Division, Kancheepuram District, is now DCP, South Coimbatore City.
• NU Sivaraman, Assistant SP, Ramanathapuram Sub-Division, Ramanathapuram District, has been transferred to a new post.
• P. Sibin, Assistant SP, Dindigul Town Sub-Division, Dindigul District, has been promoted as DCP, North Trichy City.
