IPS


In a major administrative reshuffle, the Andhra Pradesh government has transferred 26 IPS officers to various key positions across the state. The transfer orders, issued on Monday, aim to enhance the operational and administrative efficiency of the police force.

Key appointments include 1997-batch IPS officer N Madhusudhana Reddy, previously awaiting posting, who has been appointed as Additional Director General (ADG) of Law and Order. Senior IPS officer Rajiv Kumar Meena from the 1995 batch has been assigned as the Chairman of the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB).


Notable changes include the transfer of 2002-batch IPS officer Ch. Srikanth, currently Inspector General of Police (IGP), Law and Order, to IGP, Operations, with additional responsibility for Technical Services. G. Pala Raju, a 2005-batch officer awaiting posting, will now serve as Director of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).

The reshuffle also places R. Jayalakshmi (2006 batch) as IGP/Director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), while B. Raja Kumari (2007 batch) assumes charge as IGP, Andhra Pradesh Special Police Battalions (APSP Bns.).


Additional transfers have resulted in new postings for Superintendents of Police (SPs), Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), and Commandants across various districts and departments. These changes are expected to strengthen law enforcement and governance statewide.

  • R. Jayalakshmi (2006 batch): IGP/Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau.
  • G. Pala Raju (2005 batch): Director, Forensic Science Laboratory.
  • G. Bindu Madhav, IPS (2017 batch), has been transferred to serve as Superintendent of Police (SP), Kakinada.
  • M. Deepika, IPS (2014 batch), has been reassigned as Commandant of the 2nd Battalion, APSP, Kurnool, moving from her previous role as Commandant of the 3rd Battalion, APSP.
  • K.S.S.V. Subba Reddy, IPS (2015 batch), has been appointed as SP, Coordination (Human Rights & Legal), after serving as SP, PTO.
  • J. Rama Mohan Rao, IPS, has been retained in his position as SP, Intelligence.
  • A. Ramadevi, IPS, continues as SP, Intelligence.
  • K. Vijay Kumar, IPS (1996 batch), has been appointed as SP, East Godavari.
  • P. V. S. S. Kumar, IPS (2001 batch), has been designated as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Law and Order.
  • G. Ravi Kumar, IPS (2003 batch), has been posted as SP, Prakasam.
  • M. D. S. N. Prasad, IPS (2004 batch), assumes charge as SP, Chittoor.
  • K. Sudhakar, IPS (2004 batch), has been appointed as SP, Krishna.
  • R. Swetha, IPS (2010 batch), takes over as SP, West Godavari.
  • V. Suresh Kumar, IPS (2012 batch), has been appointed as SP, Guntur.
  • B. G. Ramesh, IPS (2013 batch), has been posted as SP, Anantapur.
  • S. Saravanakumar, IPS (2014 batch), will serve as SP, Nellore.
  • D. Sivakumar, IPS (2015 batch), has been assigned as SP, Kadapa.
  • A. S. S. Anjali, IPS (2017 batch), has been appointed as SP, Srikakulam.
  • N. V. Subhash, IPS (2018 batch), will take charge as SP, Vizianagaram.
  • T. S. R. Surya Prakash, IPS (2019 batch), has been posted as SP, Kurnool.
  • A. R. K. Kiran Kumar, IPS (2020 batch), assumes the role of SP, Rayalaseema.
  • P. S. K. Reddy, IPS (2021 batch), has been designated as SP, Tirupati.
  • N. R. Ramesh, IPS (2022 batch), has been appointed as SP, Ongole.
  • J. V. S. B. Krishna, IPS (2023 batch), has been posted as SP, Nandyal.
